About Us

What we do

This society will be a place to unlock the mystery of climate change and discover multitudes of ways to pursue environmental interests on campus and beyond. Students from all academic disciplines with a common interest in climate action can look forward to events, socials, volunteering opportunities, internships, research skills sessions, careers event, as well as our discussion forums. We plan to host lectures, roundtables and possibly formal dinners with a variety of speakers including senior diplomats, distinguished professors and think tanks among others. The reception may also entail other events’ ticket giveaways and students can register to present their research interests/opinions in a TED talk format. These events give our members a sense of current climate developments, and the challenges of solving global problems. UCL students will learn key facts about climate change, environmental hazards and their management from our speakers in turn allowing them to build an essential network of key personalities.

Our objectives

Founded on the principle of Global Goal 13 of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development: Take urgent action to combat climate change, the UCL Climate Action Society (CAS) aims to organise forums, panels, internships, research opportunities and socials. In order to learn the power of social impact, our flagship event is a UK wide symposium with press coverage and participation from world renowned companies!
